Goshen Highlander's Snowmobile Club makes donation
GOSHEN - David Mollison of the Goshen Highlander's Snowmobile Club reported that the group raised approximately $1,500 during the annual memorial snowmobile ride for Brian Turner, Dean Richardson, Norman LaRoche and Tyler Hewes. The event, which attracted scores of snowmobilers from the region, was held on Sunday, February 3rd. Riders left from the Spruce Corner Restaurant in the Lithia section of Goshen and rode down to the Brian Turner Memorial Pavillion in Williamsburg. Once in Williamsburg, they enjoyed a cookout which included a bonfire and raffle.
The group donated $466 to the Goshen Firefighter's Association. The money was one third of the funds raised. Liz Loven, Director of the Goshen Council on Aging accepted another $466 check on behalf of the group she oversees. The remaining balance will help future efforts of the Highlander's Club who sponsored the event.
